“I would like to take this opportunity to thank MPS Law and the amazing staff … Michael Pagsanjan, Helen Orr, Reade Allison along with other staff members that worked behind the scenes, for all the hard work [and] dedication in representing myself Maria Bandry as a respondent with the Cooper Respondents…” – Maria Bandry, Indigenous Respondent, WAD647/2017 and WAD297/2020.
“The team at MPS Law was amazing to work with and took on the case with a high level of skill and knowledge. They were responsive and approached our case with the utmost professionalism whilst carrying out instructions in a way that truly represented our group.
Importantly, from a cultural perspective, the team showed real respect for protocol, particularly around men’s and women’s business and in protecting deceased protocols. They treated the members of our case with professionalism, care, and dignity, while also creating space for us to provide honest feedback.
MPS Law made us feel both comfortable and empowered. Their approach has been upfront and honest throughout, while acknowledging and respecting us as equal partners in the process. We would highly recommend the team and would happily choose MPS Law again in the future.” – Michael Spry, David Spry, Fiona Zimmermann and Frederick Moreen, Tjadabuk Claimants.

Reade's Story
Reade Allison is a Senior Lawyer at MPS Law, driven by a passion for advancing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander social and economic justice through native title and land rights law.
Reade believes quality legal service goes beyond technical expertise, and requires genuine understanding of clients’ aspirations, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to supporting client self-determination.
Reade has five years of legal experience supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients, including Native Title Representative Bodies and Service Providers, corporations and organisations. His practice spans governance advice and compliance for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander corporations, representation in native title, land rights and cultural heritage matters (including native title claims and compensation), and complex negotiations for mining, heritage and land access agreements. Through his work Reade supports traditional owners navigating pathways to justice and recognition, protecting their country and cultural heritage while advancing economic opportunities for their communities.
As a nationally accredited mediator, Reade brings collaborative and solution-oriented approach to every matter, sensitive to the unique circumstances of each client. Reade seeks to provide practical solutions to his clients in a way that aligns legal requirements with community values and aspirations.
Reade’s commitment to this field has been nationally recognised. Reade was shortlisted in the Lawyers Weekly 30 under 30 in both 2022 and 2024, and recognised by the Doyle’s Guide as a Native Title Rising Star in 2023.
Before practising as a lawyer, Reade gained valuable insight in native title and Aboriginal land rights through an internship at the Northern Land Council in 2019. His culturally-informed approach to legal service has further been informed by his international experience, participating in an exchange at Peking University (Beijing) in 2017, and government-sponsored community development programs in Zhejiang, China and Nepal in 2017 and 2018 respectively.
Reade holds Bachelor degrees in Law (honours), Arts, and Language (honours) from the University of Adelaide, along with national mediation accreditation and certificates in legal advocacy and negotiation.
